Hello. I’m currently taking minocycline for acne, but in January I’m going to undergo laser hair removal. How ?
soon should I stop taking the minocycline? If my hair removal is on the 19th, then the 12th should be fine, right?
This medication might make your skin sensitive to sun, so a laser treatment could have a similar effect – extra sensitivity. I’d call your laser hair removal provider ASAP to ask about it, and also consult your doctor. The last thing you want are permanent scars from the hair removal process, so check it out. A week just might not be enough.
